This one day hands-on instructional program is designed as the next step for apiarists who have kept a colony for at least one season / Year.

- Splits and Nucs
- Simple Queen Rearing
- Replacing an old Queen
- Spring & winter Feeding
- Moving Bees
- Packaging Honey ( Comb, Chunk & Clear)
- Selling Honey
- Wax – what to do with it?
- Treatments – for mites, Nosema and brood disease
The course will consist of morning lectures in the classroom and afternoons in the bee hives applying the methods learned earlier in the day.
CAUTION: Please bring your own clean bee suit & gloves since you will be working with LIVE bees; please be aware that there is a small risk of bee stings occurring during the course. .
